Today is the fifth day of the protest.
Here is what happened on the first four days of the protest:
Day 4:
Over a thousand people gathered at the protest site. Reportedly, most of them were victims of Fraud Chit funds.
They claim that in 2016, the Supreme Court had passed an order to sell the properties of these fraud companies and distribute the money among these victims, but the government has not yet implemented the order.
The government presented the budget in the Parliament, even as hundreds of farmers were protesting under the leadership of All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS).
Day 2:
Protesters raised issues related to the people belonging to the backward and low castes.
Day 1:
Protesters raised their voice in support of 'One rank, One pension'. Banners of 'India Unites' were showcased too.
ETV Bharat spoke exclusively to the general secretary of the AIKS, Hanan Mollah who was participating in the protest.
Supporting the India Unites campaign, he urged MPs to raise these issues in the Parliament as well.
