New Delhi: Hindu Sena, a controversial right-wing group, blackened the signage of the Ghazipur road in Delhi and pasted a poster with "Maharishi Valmiki Marg" written on it on Sunday.
As per the report, the Hindu Sena also issued a statement saying that the Ghazipur road should be renamed as Maharishi Valmiki Marg. It may be mentioned here that in 2018, Aurangzeb Road in Lutyens’ Delhi was renamed as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road. Since then, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and other right-wing organizations have been demanding to rename all roads in the country that are named after Mughal rulers.
