Helpless father seeks funds from PM Modi to Sonu Sood to save his critically ill child

Sushil Kumar, a resident of the Police Residential Colony of Netaji Subhash Palace Police Station, is trying his best to save his daughter's life, who is suffering from a rare genetic disorder - 'Mucopolysaccharidosis IV A ( MPS, IV A)'. He is trying to raise funds by pleading to the general public on social media, including PM Modi, actor Sonu Sood and Delhi Police Commissioner.

New Delhi: Sushil Kumar, a resident of the Police Residential Colony of Netaji Subhash Palace Police Station, is trying his best to save his daughter's life, who is suffering from a rare genetic disorder - 'Mucopolysaccharidosis IV A ( MPS, IV A)'. He is trying to raise funds by pleading to the general public on social media, including PM Modi, actor Sonu Sood and Delhi Police Commissioner.

Sushil Kumar is currently posted as a Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Delhi Police. He has two daughters. His elder daughter Mahi is 7-year-old and is suffering from the rare genetic disorder called 'Mucopolysaccharidosis IV A ( MPS, IV A)'. Due to this genetic disorder, the girl's growth is shunted. Sushil Kumar is trying his best to procure treatment for his daughter for the last five years.

At present, the child is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital, where the annual treatment expenditure is around Rs 2.5 crore. Sushil Kumar is trying hard to raise the money for the treatment of his daughter but so far only managed to raise around Rs 2 lakhs.

While speaking to ETV Bharat, the child's father informed that his elder daughter Mahi is studying in the second standard in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shalimar Bagh. She is suffering from a serious genetic disease called MPS IV, a rare enzyme disorder. Her body is also getting into a bad shape. The couple is under stress due to the child's condition. He added that he has made several rounds of many hospitals and the girl's treatment is now happening in AIIMS Hospital.

Sushil Kumar said that his daughter's mental development is on track but her physical development has been shunted. He added that doctors have informed him that the treatment and medicines of this serious disease are available in the countries like Australia, Japan, and Brazil. He added that the treatment is very expensive and crores of rupees are required each year for the treatment.

The helpless father is posted at the Delhi Police Headquarters as a Peon (MTS). The income from this job is not enough to raise some money for the treatment of his daughter. He is pleading with everyone from his police officers to the Delhi Police Commissioner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and film actor Sonu Sood. He has also received Rs 1 lakh from the Delhi Police Administration but the amount is insignificant compared to the whopping sum needed for the treatment.

7-year-old Mahi, who does not even know what she is suffering from, has also pleaded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her treatment. The girl wants to become a doctor when she grows up. Sushil Kumar has got assurance for treatment only from the police officers. He is waiting for the Delhi Police administration to provide him with some funds but he will need Rs 2.5 crore every year. Sushil Kumar is now trying to raise funds through social media for the treatment of his daughter. He has also shared his account details:
