New Delhi: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the 39th edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2019 on November 14.
Themed ‘Ease of Doing Business', the fair is inspired by the unique achievement of India of rising up to the 63rd rank on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index from 142nd rank in the year 2014.
Talking to ETV Bharat, Sanjay Vashistha, Public relation officer of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), said that around 800 companies are participating in this year's fair and the fair has considerable participation from many foreign countries. This year those yojanas have been focused due to which India's ranking has improved in Ease of Doing Business Index.

He further said, "Bihar and Jharkhand will be the Focus States in this edition of the fair. Significantly, the pavilions of States and Union Territories will promote the regional art and culture, local crafts and showcase their immense potential for exports. This year the status of ‘Partner Country’ has been accorded to ‘the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’ and ‘the Republic of Korea’ will be the ‘Focus Country'."
Giving information about the arrangements made by the ITPO in this trade fair in the midst of rapidly increasing pollution in Delhi, Vashistha said that this time air purifiers have been arranged at the venue. Along with this, he informed that water spraying will also be done at many places of the venue so that the people coming to the trade fair do not have to face the problem of pollution.
The history of IITF is closely interwoven with India’s struggle for socio-economic empowerment and industrialisation and its emergence as one of the most rapidly growing and dominant global economies.
The fair will continue till November 27 and the timings will be from 0930 hrs to 1930 hrs. ITPO has earmarked initial five days from November 14 to 18 for business visitors.
