New Delhi: An euphoric atmosphere was witnessed outside Sarbananda Sonowal's Delhi residence at 29 Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane right after he took oath as a Cabinet minister in the Narendra Modi government on Wednesday. Aides of Sonowal were seen distributing sweets to the waiting journalists outside his residence.
"We are very happy that Sonowal Ji has been inducted as the Cabinet Minister. We are distributing "mitochoor laddoo", said an aide of Sonowal. As many as 43 ministers took oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan in a colourful function. However, no portfolio was distributed to the ministers. Sources said that the portfolio to the new ministers will be released by late night on Wednesday or early Thursday morning.
