New Delhi: Hit by a 21-day lockdown and no transport, hundreds of poor people are suffering due to lack of food. ETV Bharat has highlighted the plight of poor families in Chhatarpur area amid the country-wide lockdown to check the spread of coronavirus.
Soon after seeing the report of ETV Bharat, the minority committee of Delhi on Thursday distributed food to the poor in Chhatarpur area.
Kartar Singh Kochhar, the chairman of the minority committee, distributed 100 quintal rice, 100 quintal flour, 100 kg pulses, 100 kg sugar and 60 litres of oil among as many as 150 poor families.
It is to be noted that on getting the ration, beneficiaries were seemingly happy and extended their regards to ETV Bharat.
The country is under complete lockdown in order to break the chain of spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
