New Delhi: In a gruesome case, blood-splattered bodies of an aged couple were found in a house at Durga Vihar Phase-II under Chhawla police station in Dwarka district on Friday, police said, adding the son and daughter-in-law of the couple are suspects in the case.
Confirming the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police Anto Alphonse identified the couple as Raj Singh (61) and his wife Omwati (58).
"An anonymous caller informed the police control room in the afternoon on Friday about the two bodies lying in a house at Durga Vihar Phase-II," said the DCP.
A police team was rushed to the place along with fingerprint experts and a dog squad. The bodies of the couple with deep injury marks on their faces were lying on a bed inside a room, police said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, the Chhawla police said, adding the son and daughter-in-law of the couple were suspects because they were reportedly present when the incident took place.
"Their statement that they did not know about the twin-murder appears highly doubtful," said a police officer. "We are interrogating the couple"s son and daughter-in-law," said DCP Alphonse.
