Drug peddler held in Delhi

Delhi Police have arrested a person with drugs worth crores of rupees in the international market. Police, after filing a case against him, are searching for his links to destroy the illegal network.

New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested a drug peddler with eight kilograms of heroin worth crores of rupees in the international market.

The drug peddler was identified as Santosh from Jharkhand, police said.

Santosh was to supply heroin to people in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. Police officials are probing his links to reach others involved in the illegal business.

He informed the city police that heroin was grown in many naxal-affected villages of Jharkhand and he would supply it to people here.

A case has been registered against him and probing the matter further to catch other criminals involved in drug peddling.
