New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the family of the deceased Delhi doctor to move to session court for cancellation of bail granted to AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal, who is an accused in the death case, caused by suicide, of the doctor.
The court said that in case any norm of bail is violated, the family can seek cancellation and the trial court won't be influenced by the Delhi HC order which had granted bail in the said case.
On 18th April, a doctor from South Delhi committed suicide allegedly due to harassment by AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal and his associate Kapil Nagar. The doctor had mentioned their names in his suicide note and Jarwal was arrested by the Delhi police on the charges of abetment to suicide and extortion.
The Delhi High court had granted bail to the AAP legislator in June against which the deceased doctor's son had moved to the top court challenging the bail.
Giving liberty to the family to challenge the bail, the top court disposed of the matter.
