New Delhi: Congress won only 52 seats out of the 542 in the Lok Sabha elections. As a result, many leaders have left the party and the resignation spree continues.
In Bihar, Congress won just one seat. Reacting to this, party's MLC Prem Chand said, "It's time to strengthen the Congress now. All the party leaders will have to work together and stand united. This is not right, if the party leaders have to say something, they should speak in the party forum and not to the media.”
Meanwhile, some Congress leaders in Bihar also question the grand-alliance in the state. talking about the same, Chand said, "After being defeated in Bihar, I can't say anything about the coalition. Well, Bihar's local leaders want the coalition to continue. However, we understand the sentiments of the party members and workers, but the decision will be taken by the top leaders for party's betterment."
