New Delhi: Advita Saxena, a Class 8 student of BGS International Public School in Delhi's Dwarka sector-5, is over the moon.
Advita has qualified in the ‘Space Quiz’ and is now part of the group of 60 students who would witness the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on the moon’s surface from ISRO’s Bengaluru centre along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 7.
Talking to ETV Bharat, Advita said that she came to know about the national level online quiz from her maternal aunt.
"My aunt told me about the online quiz and later our school principal motivated the students to take part in the quiz. I had prepared for the quiz with my twin sister Aadya but frankly speaking, I had no idea that I would get selected. I am so excited to watch the landing live with the PM," said Advita.
She further said that she aims to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force and do another Balakot.
Advita's parents are also very happy with their daughter's success.
"I am so proud of my daughter. Now the time has come when I will be known by my daughter's name. I cannot explain my happiness," said the jubilant father.
It is to be noted that two students from every state have been selected for the event on the basis of an online quiz. ISRO had conducted the quiz for students from the eighth to the tenth standard. The child with the most number of correct answers in 10 minutes emerged the winner.
