New Delhi: In a horrifying case reported from the national capital, a Delhi Police sub-inspector on Sunday was beaten to death by gangsters following an argument at a police picket set up to nab bootleggers near Vivek Vihar in East Delhi.
According to reports, the deceased cop identified as Rajkumar was a resident of Kasturba Nagar in Delhi. Rajkumar was off duty and had gone for a walk after dinner when he saw the criminals at the picket arguing with the cops.
Rajkumar took out his phone and started recording the video of this when one of the gangsters spotted him and started hurling abuses. When Rajkumar warned him, he started thrashing him.
In order to save himself, he ran into a house but the criminals chased and attacked him with a knife and pushed him from the roof of the house.
After being informed, police reached the spot and shifted him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
