Delhi Police constable tests positive, station staff quarantined

After a Delhi police constable was tested positive for COVID-19, all the 70 police personnel posted at Tilak Vihar police post were asked to go into self-quarantine for 14 days.

New Delhi: All the 70 police personnel posted at Tilak Vihar police post were asked to go into self-quarantine after a constable posted there tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Pramod Kushwaha, a constable posted at a special cell in Lodhi colony police station was tested positive for COVID-19. Subsequently, all the staff of the station have been asked to go into self-isolation for 14 days.

The officer further said that the police is ascertaining constable's contacts in the last few days for a follow-up.

Meanwhile, Delhi has recorded 2156 cases of COVID-19 with 47 deaths.
