New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old was girl was allegedly held hostage by a private hospital for bill payment in New Delhi's Uttam Nagar on Monday.
The girl was admitted to the hospital complaining of a stomach infection and was handed over a bill of over Rs. 6,000.
She refused to pay the bill and claimed that she was admitted only for four hours and is not entitled to such a huge amount.
The hospital refused to discharge the patient and held her hostage. Thus, in order to seek help, the girl recorded a video and explained her plight.

Advocate Ashok Aggarwal came to the girl's rescue and asked the hospital administration to discharge the girl.
Later, a bill of Rs 1,000 was paid and the girl discharged at around 9 pm.
