New Delhi: With the coronavirus induced lockdown adversely affecting a big chunk of India's population, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and spokesperson Dilip Pandey said that the Delhi government made comprehensive efforts for the needy during this hour of crisis.
Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Pandey, who won the Timarpur Assembly segment in the recent Delhi polls, said that the pandemic struck the national capital just as it was recovering from the deadly riots.
He said that as soon as his party stormed back to power, Delhi was rocked by riots, and subsequently by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, his party made comprehensive efforts for the poor and needy during the lockdown, Pandey said, adding that not many governments across the country have matched the Delhi government.
Pandey said that the AAP government provided meals to lakhs of people, and ration to even those without ration cards. Besides, the government also provided shelter to the poor migrant workers.

Ruing the fact that many developmental projects in the national capital have been hit by the lockdown, Pandey said that the government is now directing all departments to gradually resume work as and when they get enough labour-force.
Coming to his own constituency of Timarpur, Pandey said that new 'mohalla clinics' will be set up in the area.
Finally, the legislator assured citizens that his government stands by them in this hour of crisis.
