Delhi govt allows training programmes, academic gatherings under unlock-7

With a decline in Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the government issued guidelines on Sunday stating that no permission from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority is required for holding training programmes such as Army, police, workers, skill, school and college training events.

New Delhi: As part of unlock-7, the Delhi government issued guidelines on Sunday stating that no permission from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is required for holding training programmes such as Army, police, workers, skill, school and college training events. Academic gatherings such as functions, lectures, and other academic programs at school, college have also been allowed. Auditoriums and assembly halls of schools, educational institutions have also been permitted for educational training and meetings with 50 per cent capacity.

With a decline in Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the government has started the process of lifting restrictions by allowing construction companies and industries to operate. The workers who had gone to their hometown due to lockdown are now returning to the city for work. The migrant labourers left Delhi when the lockdown was announced to control the second outbreak of Covid-19. The government in Delhi had announced free rations to stop the workers from leaving the city
