New Delhi: In view of the on-going tension in the Indo-China relations and India deciding to boycott Chinese products, the Delhi government has changed its plan to buy electric buses from the neighbouring country.
No Chinese electric buses for Delhi According to sources the plan has been changed to buy any bus from China and the possibilities were being explored to buy buses from European countries.
Sources said the Delhi government would not enter into any business deal even if the project to have electronic buses on the roads of the national capital gets delayed.
State Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has already visited many other countries to explore the possibilities of buying electric buses, the sources said.
Delhi has a total of 6,487 buses, including DTC and cluster buses.
