New Delhi: Vaishnavi, who lives in Bhajanpura area of the city, scored 92.4 per cent in class 10 board examination without any proper place or time to study as she would sit at her parents' small shop after school hours to earn for the family.
Sharing her experiences with ETV Bharat here, the girl, who had to ensure a balance between her study and work, said that things were good until her father met with an accident but after that, she had to work at the shop.
Vaishnavi, who aspires to be an engineer, said she would prepare for her class 10 board examinations while working at the shop. "I did not have any proper place to sit and study, so I decided to revise my lessons while working at the shop."

She also appreciated her teachers, saying they helped her a lot in achieving her aim.
Meanwhile, the principal of her school has also praised Vaishnavi and said that she worked really hard to do well in her class. Despite communal riots and coronavirus-induced lockdown during the examinations, she did well, he said.
