New Delhi: The national capital, which got India's first plasma bank established a few weeks ago, has got its second one on Tuesday with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurating it at Lok Nayak Hospital.

“After the huge success of our first plasma bank, we are launching Delhi’s 2nd plasma bank today at LNJP Hospital,” Kejriwal wrote on twitter after inaugurating it.

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) was the first centre in the national capital to start the facility for Covid-19.

A plasma donor, interacting with the ETV Bharat in the newly inaugurated facility, said he did not experience any problem while donating the plasma.

The hospital worker, who was found positive for coronavirus after a test almost a month ago, said he was kept under observation for a 14-day period following which he had to be quarantined at home for a week.

Standing alongside with their colleague, nursing staffers said all precautions are taken before a donor is finalised as everything is to checked before a person is given a go-ahead to donate the plasma.
