New Delhi: Students of the Netaji Subhash University of Technology in Dwarka created a ruckus inside the campus after an eight-month-old child of a gardener was crushed on Monday.
The on-duty guard during the incident informed that while he was making rounds of the different blocks of the university campus, he noticed a gardener's child sleeping at a distance from where he was working.
"I was shocked when lab assistant RK Gupta's car went away crushing the child below its wheels," he said.
The college administration immediately expelled the guard from duty because of the fear of slander.
They suspected that he might become a witness for the government in this case.
After being informed of the incident, the students led protests against the administration. They shouted slogans against the college authorities.
They demanded justice for the infant's mother and punishment for the accused lab assistant.
