Delhi cops make people do sit-ups for violating lockdown

In Delhi, the police adopted an innovative method to teach the lockdown violators in the city a lesson. The police caught four people who stepped out without any reason amid lockdown and asked them to do sit-ups as a punishment.

New Delhi: With people continuing to step out for “non-essential” activities amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, Delhi police have come up with unique ways to highlight the importance of staying at home.

According to sources, four persons, who were found roaming on the road near Vasantkunj without masks, were made to do sit-ups.

The Delhi police told media that such punishments were intended to send a deterrence message to the public against violating the lockdown instruction, sources added.
