DCW issues notice to UP police over death of young girl

Delhi Commission for Women has asked UP police to file its reply on why and how a young girl, travelling in a bus, was thrown out of it.

New Delhi: The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with death of a young girl, who was allegedly thrown out of a moving bus on suspicion that she was infected by coronavirus disease.

The Delhi-based 19-year-old girl, resident of Mandawali area, was travelling by a bus in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal said, adding that her family members, who were alo in the same bus, have alleged that she was thrown out of the bus by the conductor and she girl died on the spot.Maliwal has sought a reply from state police by July 15.
