New Delhi: Hit by the 21-day nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, Prakash Mishra, resident of a village in Greater Noida was forced to cover over 40 km on foot to reach Karkardooma court in New Delhi on Friday.
Mishra, along with his wife had to walk for 6 hrs only to find out the court was closed due to the lockdown. After the couple failed to find any public transport, they decided to walk to reach the court.
"Court hearing was scheduled to take place today. We did not find any vehicle, so we decided to walk. I was not aware that the court was closed due to the lockdown," Mishra said while talking exclusively to ETV Bharat.
"We couldn't find anything to eat on the way. We had to face lots of difficulties while coming here. But we managed somehow. I am feeling very tired," Mishra's wife said.
