New Delhi: In view of the increasing number of cases of Coronavirus in India, Delhi police has advised people to take precautions.They have been told to avoid going to a place where more than 5 people are gathering.
Along with this, warnings have also been issued wherein if anybody violates the advisory then action will be taken against the person under section 114 of the Delhi Police Act.
In a directive issued by Commissioner of Police SN Srivastava, it has been said that cases of coronavirus are increasing in the capital and some important steps are needed to be taken. The commissioner has appealed to the people to cooperate with the police for this.
The police has also advised the people not to unnecessarily leave the house and avoid going to places where 5 or more than 5 people have gathered
"To prevent the spread of coronavirus we appeal to the general public not to assemble at any place for protest, dharna, rally, entertainment or any other purpose, whether in close space or outside till 31st March, 2020" Delhi Police said.
Advertisements have been published regarding the same from the Delhi Police, directing people through various means.
An order of the notice has also been sent to all DCPs, ACPs, SHOs. Apart from this a copy has also been sent to MCD, PWD, DDA etc.
This order will be applicable from 18 March to 31 March.
