New Delhi: The political ruckus has once again started over Rafale fighter jets in India. The Congress Party has questioned the silence of Prime Minister Modi's government over the issue. During a press conference, it posed several questions to the government on the Rafale deal.

This comes after France opened an investigation into the allegations of bribery in the Rafale fighter jet deal worth Rs 69000 crores. A France-based NGO, Sherpa, flagged the alleged irregularities including the alleged bribes to middleman - Sushen Gupta, selection of Anil Ambani's Reliance as India partner, and the actions of former France President Francois Hollande, media reports said.

Congress's National Spokesperson Pawan Khera on Sunday held a press conference and posed uncomfortable questions to the government. Khera has said that Prime Minister Modi who is famous for speaking on several issues, is silent on this matter. The Defense Minister of the country should come out and answer but he too is silent.
