Common man suffers as petrol price increases in Delhi

Ever-increasing petrol prices have severally affected common people in the national capital. They say even a minor increase in the fuel prices disturb their budget.

New Delhi: With no proper public transport facilities available due to coronavirus, the ever-increasing prices of petrol in the capital city has severely affected the already burdened common people.

People, who are forced to use private vehicles every time they leave their homes, told ETV Bharat that even a small increase in the petrol price affects their budget, especially when businesses are still picking up after removal of coronavirus-related restrictions.

"Increase in petrol price affect everything. The monthly budget is disturbed even if it's a minor increase," said one of the customers at a petrol pump here.

Petrol prices across the four metros in the country rose for the fourth straight day till Sunday. In Delhi, it is being sold at Rs 81.68 per litre.
