New Delhi: Actor-turned politician and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Chirag Paswan has requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to ensure fair and speedy probe into the alleged suicide case of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead at his Mubai-based residence on June 14.
The LJP chief spoke to the Maharashtra Chief Minister on phone and urged him to ensure justice to the young actor, who was from Bihar.
There have been reports talking about groupism and conspiracy against Rajput and many others like him, in the Hindu film industry.
"I urge you to conduct a fair inquiry into the matter so that no talented person is victimized in future due to factionalism and nepotism in Bollywood," he said to the Chief Minister.
The LJP president said that Sushant's kin have pointed to a conspiracy behind his suicide and they believe that he was a victim of the factionalism that flourishes in the Indian film industry.
