Center is misusing CBI in West Bengal, says INC's Dhiraj Prasad Sahu

Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dhiraj Prasad Sahu has targeted the central government. He said that whatever CBI is doing in Bengal is not right. The central government is taking action in a spirit of revenge. CBI is being misused in West Bengal.

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dhiraj Prasad Sahu has targeted the central government. He said that whatever CBI is doing in Bengal is not right. The central government is taking action in a spirit of revenge. CBI is being misused in West Bengal. He said that the central government is using investigative agencies to take political revenge.

He further added that CBI should have taken action before the elections in Bengal. BJP has lost the elections and now it's trying to trap the TMC leaders. The TMC government has been elected by the public in Bengal and the central government is now trying to destabilise it. This is not good for democracy. It needs to be stopped immediately. A positive message is not going to the people of West Bengal and the party's image will get worse in such a situation.

Dhiraj Prasad Sahu has asked why are TMC leaders only being acted upon? Why is the CBI not going to interrogate Mukul Roy, Shubhendu Adhikari, who went to BJP?

The CBI has once again stepped up its investigation in the Narada case of Bengal. Today, the CBI conducted several raids in many places in West Bengal. It has also interrogated and arrested four ministers in the newly formed TMC government. The arrested TMC ministers are Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, MLA Madan Mitra and former Mayor Shobhan Chatterjee.

During the interrogation of TMC leaders, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached the CBI office and protested. After Mamta went to the CBI office, a large number of TMC workers also reached there and clashed with the security forces.
