New Delhi: Well known Dr Sudhir Gupta will head the AIIMS forensic team, which has been constituted to give its opinion to CBI on the postmortem report of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Mumbai on June 14.
The CBI, which has taken over the case from Mumbai Police, has reposed its faith in the AIIMS forensic team.
The forensic team will go to Mumbai after analysing reports concerning his death.
According to the sources, the AIIMS forensic team was yet to receive important documents from the CBI.
Gupta, who is the head of the Forensics Department, AIIMS, has experience of handling high profile cases for the CBI. Cases such as the death of Sunanda Pushkar and Sheena Bora murder were handled by him.
