New Delhi: Terming acquittal of all 32 accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case a "victory of truth and justice", Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Alok Kumar has said the decision in the case should have come a long ago.
"It took 28 years for the court to decide the issue but in the end, truth has won," he said while interacting with ETV Bharat here.
"It's sad that it took so long. It's also a matter of concern," he said, adding that many, who were named in the case have passed away and some of them have gone so old that they could not even have appeared before the court.
"We hope that with this decision, there will be clarity on those subjects which have been disturbing the Hindu psyche for the last 472 years," he said.

He, however, expressing pleasure over the court's decision also called upon all Indians to "concentrate on the future".
On being asked to comment on the demand of getting Kashi and Mathura "freed" by some other Hindu organisations, the VHP leader said other issues could be taken up later as their focus at the moment was on building the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
"We will think about other issues later. First, we have a task in hand to build the Ram Temple," he said.
In Varanasi, the Vishwanath temple shares a boundary wall with the Gyanvapi mosque, while the Shahi Idgah mosque stands next to the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura.
