Bois Locker Room: Only 9 posted objectionable material

The boy arrested by Delhi Police Cyber Crime Cell (CCC) in the ‘Bois Locker Room’ case says he created the group the to remain in touch friends after the exams. He said it was just to be with friends online as the lockdown was on. The 18-year-old also informed that the friends he had added initially invited few others who started posting objectionable pictures and comments.

New Delhi: The 18-year-old boy, who was arrested by the Delhi Police Cyber Crime Cell (CCC) in the ‘Bois Locker Room’ Instagram group, has revealed that the group had 26 members in total and nine of them shared photos of girls and engaged in sexually explicit conversation.

He told the investigating authorities that the group was created by him last month only as he was "free after the exams and thought of chatting with friends through the medium".

The CCC is yet to come up with any evidence against 17 members of the group and it has asked Instagram, an American social networking site, to provide the details of the group's activity.

The boy also told the police that his friends added few other students from Delhi schools and they were the ones who started posting the photos of girls.

Meanwhile, total arrests in the matter have gone up to four as three juvenile were held before the 18-year-old boy.

However, the CCC was not initiating any action against the juvenile and they have been handed over to their parents with instruction that they must not be taken out of the city.

Further investigation is on.
