New Delhi: Delhi BJP has slammed the Aam Aadmi Party government, saying "when you don't have money to pay salaries, why do you spend crores of rupees on advertisements".
In a recently held GST Council meeting here, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio, had sought help from the centre to pay salaries of doctors, teachers and other workers of the Delhi government.
Interacting with ETV Bharat here, Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana alleged that the Arvind Kejriwal government "snipped off Rs 2,000 crore", but he did not elaborate, when asked to explain.

The BJP leader charged that crore of rupees are being spent on advertisements but the government can't pay salaries.
"I don't understand it. On one hand you say you don't have money and on the other you spent Rs 48 crore till July this year on advertisements," he said, suggesting that "when you don't have money, you cut your expense".
"Rs 200 crores were spent on advertisements during the last financial year," he said, adding that "it could some other game of theirs".
The BJP leader said the funds of the people of Delhi must not be misused.
