New Delhi: Two persons died and three others were injured as the autorickshaw they were travelling in rammed into a stationary vehicle in north Delhi on Tuesday.
The autorickshaw driver, identified as Sukhvinder Singh, and one of the passengers - Rahul, were declared 'brought dead' while the others are being accorded with medical treatment.
According to police, the incident took place around 4.30 am, when Singh, ferrying four passengers in his autorickshaw, rammed into a vehicle near Bhalswa flyover on the Outer Ring road.
"The victims were rescued and were immediately rushed to a hospital, where Singh and Rahul were declared brought dead. Condition of other passengers is currently stable," said a senior police officer.
He further added that a case has been registered and they were collecting CCTV footage to identify the other vehicle. The bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
