New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a slum cluster in South Delhi's JJ Colony area at around 12:30 pm gutting around 200 huts.
No casualties has been reported in the incident, a fire department official told ETV Bharat.
"We received a call about the fire at 12: 30 PM. As many as 15 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames," the official said.
The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, he said, adding that some plastic and wood kept in an open yard in the area could have fuelled the fire.
Meanwhile, the authorities said that makeshift houses have been provided to victims of the blaze.
Earlier today, a fire broke out on the sixth floor of the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Kashmere Gate and 10 fire tenders brought the blaze under control. The official said that the fire was reported from a hall located on the sixth floor of the building in which furniture was gutted.
