New Delhi: Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Anurag Thakur was conferred the Champions of Change Award 2019 by the honourable former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, Actress Shilpa Shetty, Deputy Cheif minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia also received the honorary award along with 26 other eminent personalities who have made a great contribution towards social change.

Anurag Thakur received the award for his major innovative campaign of Asptal-Sansad Mobile Swasthya(SMS) Seva which aims at strengthening healthcare services in his constituency and his futuristic crusade of social change, Sansad Bharat Darshan which provides national and international exposure to students hailing from Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs exclaimed that steps have been taken to deliver good healthcare services where the role of youth is playing a significant role in the development of our nation, we will continue to strive hard and help the people in all possible ways.
Champions of Change every year is organised by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy(IFIE) which is a not-for-profit company recognised by the Government of India. Anurag Thakur is the very first parliamentarian to launch Mobile Medical Units to ensure accessibility and service in the remotest corner of Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency, right at the doorstep of residents.
