New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a youth decamped with the valuables, including gold worth Rs 18 lakhs and Rs 40,000 cash of a female crew member of an airlines, hailing from Bengaluru after luring her into marriage in Delhi, the victim said. Police registered a case based on a complaint lodged by the woman and launched a man-hunt to nab the accused.
The alleged incident has taken police on May 7. In her complaint lodged with the Arrow City police station, the woman said that she was introduced to the accused named Anshul on a matrimonial site. The woman said that the accused had described himself as a businessman based in Delhi NCR. Gradually, friendship between the two evolved and the accused proposed to the woman for marriage, which she accepted.

According to the woman, the accused called her to Delhi three days ago saying that a relative of his was getting married and she should accompany him to meet his family. The accused reportedly told her that since there is a marriage in the family, she should bring her jewellery, along with her, to impress his family and relatives.
On May 7, the victim reached Delhi, where Anshul came to pick her up and both of them went to eat at the food court in Arrow City, she said. The woman said that after driving about half a km on their return from Arrow City, Anshul stopped the car and told her that the vehicle had suffered a breakdown. After the victim alighted from the car, Anshul sped away with the woman's Rs 18 lakhs worth gold jewellery, Rs 40,000 cash and other items, including her Airlines ID.
