Bilaspur: A woman was arrested in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur for allegedly sexually exploiting a 10-year-old boy, police said. After learning about the incident, the boy's family took him to identify the accused and then filed a police complaint against her.
The boy, a resident of Raipur had come to his relative's house in Ratanpur during vacation. One day, while the boy was on his way to buy fruits from a shop in the locality, a widowed woman called him to her house on the pretext of giving him chocolates. She allegedly sexually exploited the boy inside her house following which he started crying. The accused then threatened him not to disclose the incident to anyone. Scared and shocked, the boy ran back home.
The boy did not inform anyone about the incident. After a few days, his family returned to their native place in Raipur. But, the boy continued to remain lost and scared. Sensing something unusual, the boy's mother inquired him as to what had happed. After a lot of persuasion, he related the incident that had occurred in Ratanpur.
The family immediately brought him to Ratanpur and asked him to identify the woman. The boy started crying on seeing the woman. A complaint was lodged against the woman at Ratanpur police station.

Police interrogated the woman and booked her under the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The court has sent her on judicial custody. Investigations are underway, Ratanpur police station in-charge Krishnakant Singh said.
During investigation, it was revealed that the accused's uncle is currently in jail for allegedly raping her daughter a few months back.
