Threatened by Naxals villagers flee homes, forced to beg

Ten people including a pregnant woman, three children were forced to fled to Narayanpur district headquarter area to save their lives from Naxals. SP Mohit Garg has assured to provide facilities to the villagers.

Naraynapur: Threatened by Naxals, ten people from the hinterland of Abhujmar have been forced to flee from their homes and are now compelled to live on alms provided by donors. Unable to find any means to meet their daily ends evicted families have taken to begging.

The ill-fated ten people including a pregnant woman, three children were forced to fled to Narayanpur district headquarter area to save their lives from Naxals.

A few months back, Chhattisgarh police interrogated four people on suspicion of having links with Maoists. The police continued its investigation for six months. Later, when they went back home the villagers informed them that Naxals consider them police informers and have planned to kill them along with their family. The Naxals have issued an order during a public meeting to kill them.
The villagers went to Narayanpur district headquarters to ask for help.

Naryanpur SP Mohit Garg said, "Maoists were planning to kill them as they consider them as police informers. I have assured them proper arrangements would be made for their stay and food. Also, they will be benefitted with governments schemes."
