It is believed that it was depicted for Mughals, enabling them to read and know about Lord Rama's life.

The book of Urdu Ramlila has chapters about the life of Lord Ram, his marriage with Sita and their 14-year exile, his journey to Lanka in pursuit of his wife who has been abducted by Raavan, and eventually his return to Ayodhya, his home after the triumph.

The book interestingly has chapters where the Kaikeyi, wife of King Dasharatha and step-mother of Lord Ram beauty is compared to Kashmir's beauty.

Archaeological Survey of India's guide, Hari Singh while talking to ETV Bharat said, "This Ramlila is slightly different from the one in Sanskrit."

He further said, "It's ironical that the Urdu Ramlila has not been translated into Hindi completely."

As Ramlila, the story about Lord Ram has been told and retold in different ways, the Urdu book narrates Indian culture discriminating all odds.

A member of the Museum Committee, Luthra Inteza Miyan said, "When the book was written, Urdu was in vouge and so does Ramlila, so everybody wanted to learn about both," while talking to ETV Bharat.

"This book teaches us that we should live in peace and unity without any discord or unrest, among ourselves," he added.
