Rajnandgaon: A non-resident Indian (NRI) groom and his family were arrested for cheating his bride after he hid the fact that he is already married and has children.
Onisha Sahoo, a resident of Jangalpur married Shailendra Sahoo on December 9. When she reached her in-law's place she got to know the reality.
She saw that Shailendra is already married and has two kids. It is then she informed her family about and the matter came to light.
Onisha's family alleged that when they reached the police station to register a complaint against the groom, the police seemed unattentive.
After ETV Bharat reported the news, Dongargaon police started the investigation seriously.
On the second day of the complaint, the accused and his family were arrested.

The main accused Shailendra Sahoo was preparing to flee abroad by dodging the police but was nabbed.
Onisha and Shailendra's marriage was the subject of discussion as the groom came in a bullock cart baarat, fulfilling the wish of the bride's martyred brother.
Purnanand Sahoo was martyred in the Naxalite attack. He wanted his sister's baarat to come in a bullock cart.
