Sukma (Chhattisgarh): In a recent development, the Naxalites in Sukma in Chhatisgarh on Monday have released video footage of the Maoist-security personnel encounter in the Minappa forest, where 17 Jawans of state police were killed.
According to reports, Naxalites claim that this video is of the same encounter. In this video, a large number of Naxalites are seen at the encounter site. At the same time, the sound of bombing is also heard in the video. The visuals show the shootout during an inquest. Several policemen can be seen lying on the ground during the encounter.
In the video, the Naxals have also shown 11 AK-47s, 2 INSAS rifles, one SLR LMG, 2 UBGL, 1550 all types of cartridges, and 6 UBGL cells of the soldiers.
The Naxalites have claimed that these are the weapons looted after the soldiers were killed in the encounter. Along with this, the Naxalites have claimed that during the encounter, they have killed 19 soldiers and injured 20.
Reportedly, the encounter took place in Minappa forest in Chintagufa area when a joint team of security forces was out on an anti-Maoist operation on March 21.
