Sukma: Naxalite guerrillas have blamed the police for the death of their 'commander' Korsa Ayatu, according to a press note.
The rebels said Ayatu was admitted to a Khammam Hospital in Telangana for treatment after he got critically ill. They said he was suffering from malaria and typhoid.

The rebels alleged that police arrested him on May 24 before his death.
The Naxalites have also claimed that three tribal villagers - Pojjal Sodi, Sital and Jogaiya were arrested.

According to police, many key Naxalite leaders have been hit by Covid, but the rebels have denied it.
Police also said that large-scale meetings of Naxals have led to the spread of Covid among villagers.
