Kondagaon: A sense of fear prevailed at Baderajpur village in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district when at least 24 people, including 19 students, were tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
As per reports, their report came on January 30 and since then they have been quarantined at a tribal hostel where they are being treated. A health team has also gone door to door to check people across the village.
The students, who have been tested positive, were studying at 'Mohalla classes.'
As of February 1, a total of 5,271 patients of COVID-19 were found in the district, of which 5,167 people have been cured.
The number of active patients is currently 70 and death toll in the district is 34.
It is worth mentioning here that the state saw 57.55 per cent turnout on the twelfth day of vaccination at 79 centres, wherein 4,001 health workers turned up against expected 6,952 on Monday.
