Raipur: A shocking incident of medical negligence in Chhattisgarh's capital, a living patient was declared dead by the doctors of Raipur's Ambedkar Hospital. Later, she died on the way while the family was taking her back to the hospital.
The hospital administration said the patient had died due to covid-19 and the family of the patient was handed over a dead body and was asked to cremate.
A 73-year-old woman, identified as Laxmibai Agarwal reportedly admitted to the hospital last Wednesday after she tested positive for coronavirus and complained of having a breathing problem.
On Wednesday, the hospital informed the family that she had passed away but the woman was later found 'alive' while she was being taken for last rites in an ambulance, her family claimed.
