Balodabazar: In a shocking incident, a family of four met with a road accident in Balodabazar district of Chhattisgarh on Friday night. After the accident the daughter asked the people to help rather than clicking pictures of her parents as she was unaware that they died on spot. The incident took place after their car collided with a pickup vehicle on Raipur-Baloda road in Palari police station area. Later on, the daughter herself performed the last rites of her parents.
The deceased were identified as Jogendra Soni and Geeta Soni. They were also accompanied by their two daughters during the incident.
The elder daughter who sustained major injuries was rushed to a hospital for immediate treatment.
Jogendra Soni, a resident of Balodabazar, was a jeweller by profession.
"Soni with his entire family was returning back home from Raipur after shopping when they met with the accident late night," police said.
After gaining consciousness, younger daughter Aayushi asked people to help rather than clicking their pictures.
"After her parents were declared dead on spot, Aayushi herself performed their last rites," police added.
According to locals, the number of road accidents and death tolls have risen in the area due to the neglect by authorities.
