As per reports, she tested COVID positive a few days ago and brought to the Civil Hospital on Monday after her condition deteriorated. She allegedly succumbed there due to lack of medical assistance.

"There was no response from the hospital authority even as we called them to attend the patient. Her life could have been saved if she would have got medical assistance on time," he added.

He further informed that the victim was also vaccinated a fortnight ago.

It is worth mentioning here that amid a shortage in supply of oxygen for COVID patients, Chhattisgarh has launched 'oxygen on wheels', a service aimed at providing free doorstep delivery of oxygen support to COVID patients in home isolation.

Under the service, COVID patients in home isolation, whose oxygen saturation is less than normal, will be provided a free oxygen concentrator at their homes.
