Mahasamund: In an innovative move, a school teacher in Chhattisgarh has set up loudspeakers in the village for 220 students, who may be bereft of smarphones but not the willingness to attend classes amid the pandemic.
Vijay Sharma, a teacher at government higher primary school in Komakhan village of Bagbahara block has put up four loudspeakers and one amplifier for teaching the students, beating the odds of online learning.
Students from gram panchayat Komakhan, Lukupali, Ghoynabahra step out of their houses and reach the place of study carrying their books and notebooks on the arrival of the teacher.

Students fully adhere to guidelines of social distancing and sanitization. The classes for the students of village are conducted from 10:00-4:00 and from 5:00-6:00 in the evening for the students from neighbouring villages.
The other school teachers keep an eye on students in the village when the classes are being conducted on loudspeakers.
Even as students in cities and towns across the country attend classes online, rural areas continue to grapple with the new system due to unsteady connectivity and lack of devices such as smartphones and computers.
