Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh): A woman on Saturday accused a Public Health Center of leaving a cotton gauze in her abdomen after surgery in July last year in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur.
Kirti Gendle, a resident of Navara Panchayat near Ganiyari, was admitted for delivery ten months ago at the Ganiyari Public Health Center, where she had undergone a Caesarean section.
Later, she experienced severe pain in the abdomen and visited a private hospital. The woman groaning in pain kept on making rounds of public health centres and other hospitals.

The matter came to light when the woman was finally diagnosed at a private hospital. The doctors there found a cotton gauze in her abdomen, and that she developed complications. The cotton gauze was removed from the woman's abdomen after surgery in a private hospital.

Now, the victim has lodged a complaint against the health department on medical negligence.
