Located over 50 km away from the Raigarh district, a tiny hamlet of Rampur with over 2000 population has zero crime rate. It has been said that not a single incident has been reported from this village. Not even once Police has visited this village.

Raigarh (Chhattisgarh): Contrary to the rising crime rate across the country, a village in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh is setting the example with a contrasting outlook!

Located over 50 km away from the Raigarh district, a tiny hamlet of Rampur with over 2000 population has zero crime rate.

It has been said that not a single incident has been reported from this village. Not even once Police has visited this village.

For the last several years, the local villagers have resolved the small disputes at the panchayat level, not even once Police had to intervene.

Roopak Sharma, in-charge of Kotra road police station says that the people here are simple and have a sense of brotherhood among themselves.

"People of this village are mainly farmers. They are very disciplined and resolve matters in peaceful. That is the reason not a single report has been reported from here," added Sharma.
