Koriya (Chhattisgarh): In India, festivals are the celebration of togetherness and oneness. Raksha Bandhan is one such festival that is all about affection, fraternity and sublime sentiments.
The day signifies sibling love and bonding. Sisters tie a sacred thread on their brothers' wrists and the brothers in turn, promise to keep their sisters safe and protect them.
Jitendra Khateek, an auto driver by profession, provides free rides to lady passengers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He has been doing this for the last six years.
"Many auto drivers do not turn up on Raksha Bandhan and in that case, passengers suffer a lot. Due to this, many women face difficulties in reaching their brothers' place to tie rakhi. So, I started providing this service for them," said Khateek.
